Brenin Coin

Originally from Spring, Texas. Brenin began playing the piano at age 6. Through grade school, he developed a strong musical foundation in classical piano lessons that paved the way for his self-instructed exploration of Jazz piano and Rock drums throughout high school. Now enrolled at the University of North Texas in Denton, he is honing his piano skills by studying under Dave Meder and Fredrick Sanders while performing with UNT ensembles such as the 2 o’clock lab band and the Latin Jazz Lab.

No matter what you work on with Brenin, be it the simplest basics, sight-reading, performance, improvisation, or composition, his goal in lessons is to make his students feel comfortable, valued, and empowered as they work through musical challenges with him. He strives to understand and meet the different needs of each of his students by asking questions and allowing space for his students to ask their own. Additionally, Brenin takes every opportunity he can to encourage students by drawing their attention to the progress made.

Ultimately, Brenin desires for every student to fall in love with musical expression and discover what they want to say with each and every note they play.
