Savannah is a sought-after jazz vocalist, pianist, songwriter, and arranger in the DFW area. As a performer, she is well-versed in modern vocal styles such as musical theatre, jazz, and pop, with a solid background in classical training. While growing up in her home state, North Dakota, she was heavily involved with the choir as well as musical theatre, participating in shows like the Sound of Music, Tarzan, Little Mermaid, and West Side Story. Also, she has competed in and won many regional and statewide competitions.

Her love of jazz and pursuit of excellence in education led her to the DFW area to attend the prestigious UNT Jazz program, and she was quickly recognized as a superb artist. Savannah has been a part of the premier vocal jazz group, “UNT Jazz Singers.” While with the group, she has recorded albums and won outstanding performance awards in Downbeat magazine. Savannah enjoys writing and arranging for her own bands as well as recording. Learning from top jazz musicians such as Rosana Eckert and Jennifer Barnes at UNT has given her great tools as a music educator.

Savannah teaches in such a way as to bring out the greatest potential from each of her students, and she expects her students to give their very best in each lesson. She puts emphasis on technique and emotional connection while also maintaining a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. Music is such an uplifting, joyful experience for Savannah and she hopes to instill the same in her students!
