Tori's musical journey started at five years old with violin lessons using the Suzuki method. She switched to vocal training due to her interest in musical theater, gaining proficiency in piano and music theory. She later took up guitar and discovered a passion for songwriting.
She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, excelling in choral music, opera, musical theater, and vocal jazz. Her achievements include Downbeat awards for “Outstanding Soloist” and performances at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival.
In 2022, Tori earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. She performed with Grammy-nominated UNT Jazz Singers alongside artists like Kurt Elling and Sinne Eeg. Now, she performs her original music in the DFW area.
Tori aims to inspire joy and confidence in her students' musical journeys. With her own learning experience over the years, she values compassion and tailored teaching, focusing on individual strengths while gradually introducing challenges (accepting students age 3 and up)
